"Jack Ryan" - "The Lone Ranger" - "Trade of Innocents"

Scope Filmography
American Widescreen Museum

Once again, I'm grateful to correspondent S Martin for his significant contribution to this update, in both the list of new titles (below) and corrections to established entries (further down). I'm especially grateful for his caution about 'regular' 15-perf IMAX and not-so-regular Digital IMAX, which can make all the difference in the world when it comes to the exhibition of individual films. I'll try and keep an eye on those notations from this point forward.

A number of the following corrections and updates were first listed here in the blog, and I've provided a link to the relevant entries in each case. Those entries have all been amended to reflect current information.

À PERDRE LA RAISON and HOUSE AT THE END OF THE STREET (see here and here) are both Techniscope rather than 'spheri-crop', as originally listed.

CHAINED was actually shot on HD with unidentified anamorphic lenses.

DOROTHY (Technovision) and LYMELIFE (J-D-C Scope) were both shot with anamorphic lenses rented from Panavision, giving rise to some confusion when originally listing the films as having been 'shot' in Panavision.

The Large Format versions of FINAL DESTINATION 5 and RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK were exhibited in Digital IMAX only.

UN PLAN PARFAIT was shot in Panavision.

[•REC]³: GÉNESIS is 1.85:1 for the first 20 minutes, then opens out into scope format. Also, the on-screen copyright date is 2011, not 2012 as originally listed.

Most of TAKEN 2 was shot in 'spheri-crop' format, though a significant chunk was also shot in Panavision.

Despite what I listed in its original entry, no 35mm prints were struck for the 3-D version of TITANIC (1997).

LES TRIBULATIONS D'UNE CAISSIÈRE was shot with a range of anamorphic lenses, including Technovision.

[Pay attention at the back there, 'cause this one's complicated: A 2-D to 3-D conversion of this film was released in 2012, configured for D-Cinema, IMAX 3-D and Digital IMAX 3-D. The stereoscopic Large Format editions were reframed at 1.44:1, and this was reframed again for 3-D Blu-ray at 1.78:1. However, all D-Cinema prints retained the original 'scope' ratio (whether 2-D or 3-D), and this was also retained for the 2-D Blu-ray version. Phew!]
